This stretch of the river is infrequented by the general public due to the difficulty of access except through this private access.
This private Pecos access is FREE to all paid LPFFC members to use. There are no access or rod fees for LPFFC members. Enjoy this exclusive private access to the Pecos River and use it often. It is only a 20 minute drive from Old Pecos Trail and I-25.
Many of you know how congested the public waters of the Pecos is, especially on the weekends during the summer months with the ‘locals’ fishing, camping and swimming. Through our working relationship with a Pecos resident, we are privileged to have worked out an arrangement for LPFFC members to enter their private property, park on private land, and to enter the Pecos River through a private gate. The area of the river that we have access to is protected from public access from both sides of the river by private land.
BOOKING: We are limiting the access to 4 fly-fishers at a given time. Please book your spot with us (Pam) at 505-699-0919 or e-mail ps.phidogroup@yahoo.com so that we know who is on the river, how many and when. Please let us know if you are booking for AM, PM or a full day. It is our responsibility to inform the property owners every time that someone will be on their property.
If you are going for the first time, you will need to be accompanied by Ken or Pam, a Reel Life guide, or a member of LPFFC who has been previously on the property so that you will be familiar with where to park, where the entrances are and gate code. You will need to complete a release to have access to this property. We will send you the release via e-mail prior to your going on the property for the first time. These releases are kept on file.
Please note that if you attend a Ken/Pam hosted Sunset Trip that there will be a LPFFC fee of $25 per couple or $12.50 for singles. These trips are considered LPFFC socials with appetizers and beverages being served along side of the river. This hosting fee does not include dinner afterwards.
